(YO PAIN!)
True Story - I already heard Pain way back from The Anthill Mobb days. Then Itsumo era came..... I never heard of him since then till recently, I saw this poster on FB. It was for Pain's new single DMD. My first impression was like, what the hell is he trying to do? I was asking myself like what brand of HipHop will he push. Dice did some Hip-house recently while K9's on some rock outfit or something. And knowing what type of music they're making back then leaves a big question mark on what kind of music would he make today.. So I was like whatever it is I dont think he still got it. Yeah, as real as it gets I was some sort of a..... a non-believer.... So the release date came. Everybody was sharing/posting it on FB. So I did press play... Straight away I was hook by the intro alone... then he starts to spit! STRAIGHT BISAYA SHIT! Then the next thing I notice I was singing the HOOK for almost a week, DI MA DA OI!.. GOT DAMN Pain! I think everybody would agree if I say that Dice's production was on PAR (not the other way around) haha.. Pain was killin it all the way through. What I like about the song is that I know I can WRITE THAT HOOK, but I never did. I know some of ya'll have some favorite songs that you wish you have wrote it. I guess it's safe to say that to me this is that one of those songs that I really wish I was the one who wrote it. And so far, there's only one artist who I think is the one responsible why I want to write Bisaya tracks again. And that's NoPetsAllowed. Now here comes Pain, droping heavy Bisaya bars. Now I'm having 2nd thoughts on pushing forward with my Bisaya flow..
